Beess & Co Cafe

A pleasant cafe tucked away in a strip of shops in the Yarralumla area, conveniently located close to the accomodation we stayed at. We visited on a Sunday - quite close to Christmas - and it seems to be jovial here, not overrun but busy enough! A decent breakfast (poached eggs on sourdough) and the eggs were cooked very well and the sourdough was a really nice quality. The fresh juice ordered by someone else on my table looked delightful and I was keenly watching the barista serve a whole host of drinks, all very good looking with attention to detail. A tasty breakfast, pleasant atmosphere, kind and swift service EDIT: after breakfast we ordered a round of coffees. All came out timely and all of the same quality which is always something a look for when ordering for a table, do they all come out with the same level of fluff on top and same milk quality? Tick of approval for me on that! I didn’t however enjoy the season blend by Axil. It is very fruity (given the description of stone fruit) but this is really not my preference. I prefer the depth of the chocolate flavours. Props to the barista for coffee quality, but the flavour of the beans is just not for me perhaps the regular Pele Espresso provided by Axil is a better match for my flavour preference.

Cosy place with friendly staff. Enjoyed the Bees Benny except for the bacon not being cooked enough for me. Mugs and cups are the smallest I have seen in Canberra so far. They don't have arkadia spiced chai and it was weak. Coffee was good.

Delicious food and berry smoothies! The BLT toastie tasted great (crispy and flavourful too). Nice relaxed atmosphere with friendly manager and staff. Definitely a popular local favourite
